This section takes you from preparing your artist profile to releasing and managing a fully on-chain generative artwork.

If fully on-chain generative art is new to you, first read Understanding and Navigating 256ART.

Then follow the release workflow:

1. Why Choose 256ART — understand the platform, costs, fees, and contract ownership.
2. Getting Started — sign in to the Artist Portal and complete your profile.
3. Generative Art Template — prepare and test your artwork.js and traits.json files locally.
4. Artwork Details Form — configure the artwork, sale, allowlist, revenue, and royalty settings.
5. Testing Your Project — run the platform's pre-release test and review its output.
6. Releasing Your Artwork — deploy the contracts, set the dates, and manage the release.
7. OpenSea & Enforcing Royalties — configure the collection on OpenSea after release, if needed.
